
Three ranga junior teams are heading away for the weekend for the annual Junior Rugby Festival in Taupō.
We caught up with our teams before they headed away.
Under 10 Vikings
Some of our highlights this season were everyone having fun and enjoying the game. We went undefeated this year with 20 games and no losses and also won the Grammar juniors u10 Auckland tournament.
We are really looking forward to seeing what the rest of the country’s skillsset is like for our age group and how well we can compete with them. We are looking forward to a weekend away as a team and parents to make fun memories for the kids in their footy.

Under 11 Avengers
We had a great season of learning to play on a bigger field. The players really developed their team play thoughout the season and in the end the Avengers finished the season undefeated.
We are looking forward to getting to Taupo to Hang out together, hit the hot pools, and play rugby against clubs and teams we don't know.

Under 12 Nitros
We had a superb season. Playing 15 aside took a bit of getting used to in the beginning, but by the end of the season we had hit our stride and were playing brilliantly. The forwards in particular made huge improvements as the season progressed and made a big difference to the positive outcome of our games.
We are looking forward to taking in the atmosphere of the tournament and challenging ourselves against other regional teams. Also, solidifying our already strong relationships between players and families in the Nitro’s.
